Fantastic Planet La Planete Sauvage Cannes Special Prize Sci Fi Film Poster
The French key art for La Planète Sauvage, winner of the Special Prize at the 26th Cannes Film Festival. A giant blue Draag examines a tiny human held in its palm.
Description
This is the iconic artwork for La Planète Sauvage (Fantastic Planet), René Laloux’s 1973 animated science-fiction classic, noted on the print for its Prix Spécial at the XXVIe Festival de Cannes. The composition shows one of the blue-skinned Draag holding a minuscule Om in an upturned palm — the film’s entire allegory in a single image. A landmark piece for animation and arthouse cinema collectors.
